Coal-fired margherita pizza with dramatic lighting

Coal-Fired · Since 2011 · Brooklyn, NY

Fire, flour
& a little patience.

Neapolitan-style pies blistered in a 900° coal oven, in the heart of Carroll Gardens.

Our Story

A family oven, carried from Naples to Brooklyn.

Forno Rosso began as a single coal oven, built by hand and fed for eleven years by the same family recipe: 72-hour fermented dough, San Marzano tomatoes, and fior di latte pulled fresh each morning.

No shortcuts, no delivery apps rushing the process - just a small room, a hot oven, and pizza the way it was meant to be eaten.
